Trenton House
Greetings Family!
All in all, things are
going well at the Trenton House. We’ve been able to carry a pretty clear
message into the facility each time and have also allowed the residents to open
up and share more. This seems to be very well received. We’ve ran out of
meeting schedules, but were able to scrounge up a handful so that the facility
had updated NA meeting schedules. Overall, the residents seem to be more
receptive to NA each time we show up, so it appears that we have something to
offer.
Now for the
unfortunate news. This past Tuesday (May 31st), we did not take the meeting
into the facility because there were no available members to go in on that day
and at that time. I take full responsibility for this. We did inform our
H&I Chair and Vice-Chair, as well as the facility leader. Hopefully our
absence will not affect future meetings with this facility. Thank you for
allowing me to serve the area in our H&I efforts!
In Loving Service,
-Nick L
Pinecrest
Meeting
is going great averaging about 10 - 15 addicts per H&I meeting.
The addicts seem to always be happy we came and interested in the message. We
have no issues to report at this time. I want to thank the committee for
allowing me the opportunity to serve.

Greetings
from the men's 28 day program at pinecrest, meeting has been starting and
stopping on time, I have had plenty of willingness never a panel less than 3 to
4 recovering addicts, even members from metro area of NA coming which is
amazing. The men have been super attentive and asking for meeting scheduled.
The life saving message of narcotics anonymous is being carried. Thank you for
allowing me to serve with this panel the last 6 months it's been amazing.

Meetings went fairly well this past month with the same 2 clients both times we went. They will be leaving within the week after our last meeting there. I contacted Lugene Saunders and left her a voicemail and the staff said they would email her as well. I explained we are short on people at this time and asked her to contact me if there are any questions.

Greetings from pr,
Overall everything is well. We had a
miscommunication concerning schedule day so it has been pushed off again. The
date is still to be established when we will try again. There was also an issue
when me and another addict went to the needle exchange to fill the literature
display, the literature display rack was missing but we spoke with our contact
and we will be going back this Wednesday to inquire further. Flyer day went
well, and the date for our next flyer day will be announced soon. We also
changed over service positions this month

In the event I am unable to attend
this months ASC, I have included my report for the literature subcommittee
below. I have also contacted Rachel N, who has been gracious enough to present
the report in my absence.
Greetings from the Literature
Subcommittee,
We received $368.98 from the ASC
Treasurer during last months ASC. We used those funds to place an order to
replenish our literature supply. The order shipped on 06/15/16 and is scheduled
to be delivered on the Wednesday, June 22, 2016. Literature will be available
for purchase at next months ASC meeting or at my home group next week on the
26th of June provided the acting ASC treasurer will be available to attend.
Taking the foregoing into consideration, and due to the fact that there are
only one or two active subcommittee members, we neglected to hold our scheduled
subcommittee meeting this month. We will present a full inventory report and
prospective budget for our next literature order at next month's ASC.
Thank you for affording me the
opportunity to serve.
In loving service,

How well has the area served local
groups this year?
1.
How well does the area communicate with local groups? Scored 3-
Discussion of what we would like to see in the future involved more
timely distribution of minutes, full detail minutes(when discussions of
pros/cons of motions, ideas, etc)
2.
How well does the area respond to the needs of local
groups? Scored 3
3.
How well is the area managing its donation and area
treasury? Scored 2- Would like to see
more paying it forward/upward with donations to support other bodies of
service.
4.
How effectively does the area demonstrate
responsibility and accountability?
Scored 2- Education/Training of all participants is
much needed across the board.
5.
How fully does the area train and support members who
serve on the area service committee? Scored
2- Possibility of scheduling training right after officer elections. Learning days for all service positions.
6.
How well does the area service committee foster an
atmosphere of courtesy and mutual respect? Scored 2- Time restraints put a restriction on allowing for the amount
of discussion wanted by members. Training, Training, Training. Roberts Rules of
Order could be adopted/integrated to suit our needs while keeping to agenda.
7.
How completely does the area provide opportunities for
communication about committee concerns to the local members and groups? Scored 3- Concept
9. Communication and mutual respect.
Line of communication between groups and the ASC—possibly a blog, chat room,
etc.
8.
How well is a sense of unity fostered within the area
service body? Scored 2-Negative talk
and attitudes when announcing and discussing ASC. Feeding the “rumor mill”.
9.
How positively is a sense of unity shown within local
groups? Scored 4- Unity within local
groups seems to be strong. Would benefit
from having an Outreach Subcommittee?
10. What is the
area’s experience with trusted servants? Scored 3- Mostly positive.
Majority of negative experiences involve lack of
training/knowledge/experience.
11. How well has
the area fostered the willingness of the local fellowship to volunteer for
service positions? Scored 3- This
goes back to the negative talk/image portrayed and the actions of a couple vs.
the bigger picture of the unity that is fostered when we work together instead
of “competing”.
12. How well
does the area practice continuity and rotation? Scored 3- Continuity not so well with the lack of
order set in precedence. Rotation,
lacking in activities subcommittee but the rest seems to be very good.
13. How well
does the area function in maintaining a full complement of trusted servants,
with no open commitments? Scored 3-
Fairly well. Appointing those without
willingness or experience can sometimes cause more issues than allowing it to
work itself out.
14. How fully
does the area create an environment where the conscience of the body guides the
decisions and direction of the area? Scored
2- Changes are taking place to make the policy better suited to meet the needs
of the groups as we are growing tremendously and the old policy is not as up to
date as it needs to be for a larger body.
Policy subcommittee was formed and has updated a lot of the motions that
were already voted on but never added/updated/removed from the document.
How well has the area done this year in
making NA’s message more widely known in the larger community?
15. How well is
the area communicating with those in the community who interact with addicts? Scored 4
16. How
completely does the area respond to the needs of the larger community?
Scored 4
17. How well is
the area using human and financial resources to carry NA’s message of recovery
in an efficient and effective way? Scored
4
18. How fully
trained and supported are the trusted servants who interact with members of the
community? Scored 3
19. How well has
the area built cooperative relationships with those in the larger community? Scored 3
20. How easily
can those in the larger community reach an NA member who is in a position to
respond to their questions or requests? Scored
3- Would like to see the panel members/chair/vice-chair have better
contact/communication with our facilities where H&I is done. This is something we lost site of at some
point in time and action is being taken in the subcommittee to get it back to
the “norm”.
How well has the area cooperated and
collaborated with the region and NA World Services this year?
21. How
effectively does the area communicate with the region and with NA World
Services? Scored 2- More follow up
would be nice as in communication between service bodies.
22. How well
does the area respond to requests from the region and from NA World Services?
How fully does the area share its needs and concerns with the region and NA
World Services? Scored 2
23. How reliably
does the area forward funds to the region and/or NA World Services?
Scored 2- Lacking tremendously due to the negative
attitudes presented toward other bodies or service. We can work on this by doing our research and
seeing all of the services provided by region and World to carry the message to
those less fortunate than us in this area.
24. How
effectively does the area use resources (such as written materials or
experience from other trusted servants) that are available through the region
and/or NA World Services? Scored 2
25. How fully
has the area formed a cooperative relationship with the region and NA World
Services? Scored 2- This relationship
was formed at one point but we have lacked in maintaining it. Involved, committed, experienced individuals
needed.
26. How well is
the area creating a sense of unity with the region and NA World Services? Scored 2- Not very.

ADDENDUM
--- What emerged as the most significant issue was the
need for education regarding area service. It was discussed to have a general
comprehensive area service learning day and to then have another ASC learning
opportunity at In Loving Service. This was discussed as a more specific
position or process-oriented function. Possibly with a menu, so addicts can
attend specific workshops.

Budget(AD HOC)
Hello family,
The adhoc committee did neet on 6/13/16 with the agenda to
start crunching numbers and take a look at our income and our spending. Thanks
to our current treasurer and alt treasurer we were able to get average of 2014
and 2015 for our Regular account, as well as individual subcommittees. We want
to start meeting with the subcommittees to come up with a proposed budget for
each subcommittee. We want to encourage subcommittee to take the time to meet
and discuss their plans for the upcoming year and to get an idea of how much
money they plan to spend so that we can come up with a budget together. We want
to start with PR. We are waiting until elections are over and that date will be
posted. Thank you for allowing me to serve. Chad W

The Another Way Group Report June 2016
Hello
Family! Greetings from the Another Way Group! Things are going well for the
most part. We have been having a few issues with the facility were we meet. We
had some issues with the facility getting the doors open on time. We actually
couldn’t meet last week because the gentleman responsible for unlocking the
door forgot to show up. However, we’ve been offered a solution to this problem.
We now have our own key to the church. This is huge for us so we wanted to
share it with the area! Taking care of our meeting place is a special
responsibility!
We have
plenty of literature available, our rent is paid for the next two months, and
the atmosphere of our meeting continues to be intimate. We have our votes for
the Area Officer positions and will give them during New Business. We will be
having a home group member celebrating on July 25th and Beth R. will
be joining us to share her experience. Please come and join us for this
miracle! Sending lots of love to the area!

open on time, with literature on the table, and coffee and tea is offered. We
have averaged 50 addicts a week for the past month. We have a one year

celebration in August, which will likely coincide with 2 one-year celebrations.
Details will be forthcoming. Due to a change in her work schedule, Sarah W will
be assuming the role of GSR-alt, and Britt S will be stepping into the GSR
position. Josh M is now our group treasurer, and Rachel C is now our group
