  1. Subcommittee Reports
Activities
Greetings ASC

Good day, I apologize that I am not there (August 2016) to facilitate a subcommittee and I still do not have an acting subcommittee vice chair. Today my parents are throwing me a (not so surprising) surprise birthday party, fortunately I'll only be turning 50 once. Last month's report with the financial breakdown for our camp out was sent to Ryan D as an attachment and in standard e-mail text form. The bottom line financially is that I am to return $145.47 to our ASC treasurer (I have the check) and we continue to wait for a refund (which is past it's expected due date) in the amount of $384.00. I have reached out to Recreation.gov whom is the ones that received the reservation fee's and the Army Corps of Engineers whom offered us the option of still using East Lynn Lake the weekend of our camp out (even though it'd been under water the night before), I am powerless over the outcome thus far. Our next scheduled event is in October, either the 22nd or 29th, and to be held at either First Presbyterian Church or the Barnett Center, next month I will hopefully have a date and location cemented. Activities Vice Chair is a position that is always handled within the subcommittee itself, if you want to be the face of change step up, be nominated and accept the position because soon (like in February of 2017) In Loving Service will be upon us and it'll be the job of the next activities chair and vice chair to facilitate these events. Robbie C has acted as vice chair and I could not have pulled off the events we've had this year without his help and the help of many, many more. Be the change you wish to see within our area. I sincerely love the GTOANA, it's been a huge part of my life and my recovery would not have been possible without it. Any questions you have my number, just in case (304) 654-1305.

Grateful to be of service

Tom F - GTOANA Activities Chair

PR

Greetings from Pr subcommittee,
Everything is moving along.  A successful flyer day with the next one to be announced soon. A new team was established, Liz K and Andrew V, to handle schedule day and communications. The literature that was purchased at the last Asc was delivered to first steps with out issue. Myself and Josh A also stopped by the needle exchange to stock up ips and we are in the process of printing off up to date schedules to be delivered there and to be used for the upcoming schedule day. We discussed and set a date to inventory the pr box so that we may determine whats needed for to filled so that literature will be more readily available when needed. Our Web servent is checking area email regularly if any home groups need an announcement add to the website send them to Gtowebservent@gmail.com. A couple issues were brought to our attention about the Google map links on the website not directing to the correct locations which is being addressed. Along with the meeting schedule on the resource site Help4WV is severely out of date and would we like this to be passed along to the regional service committee.
Grateful to serve,
Ashley F
Pr chair

Things are well at the Monday morning 10:30AM adult short-term panel at Riverpark. Willingness is
adequate; it's a hard time slot for willingness. We have averaged about 8 clients in attendance. Some
groups are more attentive than others. Overall, the message is being carried here and there still is very
much a need for this panel. I have found the experience so far to be very enjoyable. It is a pleasure to
serve alongside you all on the front lines.
Nick C.
Hni is going well at pinecrest. We arrive on time, together and leave on time together. The
residents are always receptive and the message of NA is clearly being shared. As always, it's a
pleasure to serve. Trevor G.

Old business:
Minutes from last meeting were read.
Discussion about JFT and using phones.
Books are needed as opposed to phones.///Ara has one i n the van.
Josh made contact with most of facilities and they are happy. Vickie at St. Mary’s would like a meeting
for long term clients with abscesses.
Hand i workshop went well. Need a list of a available members with updated numbers.
So we are going to ask PR if we can add to website.
Schedules and a calendar are a good suggestion. Dee passed out paper copies
Boyd county jail wants us to come in. Should we put resources toward both. Cassie would be willing to
do once a month. Nick L is willing as well. Dee Dee and Josh will go talk to them.
Mildred Bateman Dee Dee will get information.
New business:
Dee Dee want to change subcommittee dates to Thursday night. Sunday was offered as a date before

Meeting is going well. We average about 45 people a meeting. We have been reading Ip's for a topic this month. After the addition of the new Wednesday meeting our meeting has decreased in attendance but it has provided more people the opportunity to share. We would love to see more established members help us carry the message. We have no donation this month.

Erica P.

All is well with the Basic Group of Narcotics Anonymous. The doors are open on time, coffee is hot, and we are slowly building up our literature supply. We average about 30 people each week and our format remains a step study and application. On September 7 we have a home group member celebrating 9 years, so come see who it is. We have no donation to area at this time.
Thanks for letting me serve,
Tasha W.
