6. Subcommittee Reports
Activities – Greetings ASC

Our last event (GTO's 2nd New Years Eve Party) was a success as this years attendance was better than expected. Thanks to Robbie C, Jeff S, Josh B and all those that showed up for decorations and event preparation. Thanks also to Deeidra B for facilitating the H&I Workshop. It was decided last month to not charge a fee for the event and that the only fund-raising would be a 50/50 raffle, reasoning for that was because we'd gotten our reservation fee's back from Recreation.Gov and all of the years events had supported themselves. It was great to see some of the kids from River Park 3 North that were brought out and stayed for several hours, it showed them that in recovery we can and do still have fun.

Below is the breakdown for the events expenses:

We started with the $300.00 that we requested and had $384.00 returned from Rec.Gov.

Beginning balance $684.00

Rent - $50.00
DJ - $150.00
Supplies - $152.70
Totaling - $352.70

Balance and being returned to ASC:
331.30 + $24.00 from The NYE Party's 50/50 raffle equals $355.30

OUR NEXT EVENT IS OUR ANNUAL LEARNING DAY (IN LOVING SERVICE) ON FEBRUARY 11th , 2017 BEGINNING AT 2:00 PM. WE WILL UTILIZE $300 OF OUR ACTIVITIES RESERVE TO FACILITATE THIS EVENT.
**THIS YEARS ILS WILL FEATURE TRADITIONS WORKSHOPS, PLEASE CHECK OUR AREA AND REGIONAL WEBSITE FOR AN EVENT FLYER WHICH WILL INCLUDE AN ITINERARY..
**PLEASE BRING A DESSERT AND IF POSSIBLE AN NA RELATED AUCTION ITEM.
**THIS EVENT WILL INCLUDE A SPAGHETTI DINNER (AS IT ALWAYS DOES)

GRATEFUL TO BE OF SERVICE

Group reports:

  Happy New Year Subcommittee!

The Monday morning 10:30AM Adult Short-term H&I panel at Riverpark is rolling right along. The message is being carried clearly. We average about 6-8 clients in attendance each week. Some are detoxing or heavily medicated. We focus on JFT topics, acceptance, or Step 1. There is still very much a need for this panel and our service is appreciated. It is a privilege to lead this panel. Thanks for allowing me to be a trusted servant. We are changing our community for the better! Love you guys.

Nick C.

The meeting has started and ended on time. Willingness hasn't been a problem. Clients are receptive to a clear message that is being carried. There are no issues to report.
